Partnership Mandate

  • Lead advocacy role for the commission with partners and within counties, districts and communities to generate active involvement and participation in the national response to HIV/AIDS.
  • Develop and coordinate partnership with various actors, including the public and private sectors in response to HIV & AIDS.
  • Develop and coordinate effective communication strategies aimed at providing awareness on the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
  • Develop programs to mainstream and create an enabling environment for HIV/AIDS interventions in all sectors of the society and ensure that work plans are gender sensitive, evidence, informed and consistent with the national HIV strategic framework.
  • Engage with and ensure public and private sectors, civil society, non-governmental and community based organizations to develop sector specific HIV/AIDS work plans which are consistent with the National Strategic Framework to respond to targeted population.
  • Develop and put in place a county and or district structure with the capacity for effective coordination of county and district response to HIV/AIDS.
  • Create an enabling environment for the successful implementation of HIV programs at county and district levels.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Chairperson.
